The first China Hardware Brands Global Expansion Conference and Global Sourcing and Supply Matchmaking Conference will be held in Shanghai on October 10th. The conference is hosted by the China Hardware Products Association and co-organized by the China-Africa Bridge, the China-Africa Economic and Trade Research Institute of Zhejiang Gongshang University, and the Yuyao Hardware Products Association. Under the theme of "Boosting China's Hardware Global Expansion and Building a Bridge for Sourcing and Supply between China and Foreign Countries," the conference brings together elites from the global hardware industry to discuss new paths for Chinese hardware brands to expand overseas and build new bridges for sourcing and supply cooperation between China and foreign countries.
Adapting to the Changing Times and Promoting Industrial Upgrading
Against the backdrop of profound changes in the global hardware industry landscape, the continuous upgrading of international market demand, and the accelerated restructuring of the supply chain, the Chinese hardware industry faces a critical opportunity to transform from "manufacturing going global" to "branding going global" and expanding its supply chain. Despite facing numerous challenges in brand building, channel expansion, and localized operations, this conference aims to help Chinese hardware companies seize global market opportunities and enhance their international competitiveness. This year's conference is expected to attract over 2,000 exhibitors and attendees, with 350 invited professional guests, including government officials, diplomatic envoys from embassies and consulates in China, representatives from domestic and international industry associations, renowned think tank experts, representatives from hardware brands, cross-border service providers and logistics and finance companies, and overseas professional buyers.
Four core sections create a premier industry event.
The conference will feature a main forum and sub-forums, inviting prominent domestic and international industry leaders, think tank experts, renowned entrepreneurs, and other distinguished guests to engage in in-depth discussions on hot topics such as global hardware industry development trends and market opportunities, brand internationalization strategies and localized operational practices, new channels and models for cross-border e-commerce, supply chain collaboration and digital transformation, and market expansion strategies along the Belt and Road Initiative. The conference innovatively launched the "Global Purchasing and Supply Resource Matchmaking Conference," ensuring effective matchmaking through pre-conference matching, in-depth matchmaking during the conference, and post-conference support. Pre-conference information and procurement needs of over 300 companies were collected and analyzed. Over 100 precise matchmaking sessions were set up on-site, with 30 high-level closed-door procurement matchmaking sessions focusing on leading industry companies. Over 500 one-on-one meetings were scheduled, and the conference is expected to foster over 200 initial cooperation agreements.
The conference also included a special session on the "Belt and Road" market, inviting representatives from embassies and consulates in China, overseas chambers of commerce and associations, international buyers, and market research experts from Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia to discuss emerging market opportunities, interpret local trade policies, and share market development experiences.
The conference will initiate the establishment of the "China Hardware Brand Overseas African Alliance," creating a long-term service mechanism: integrating high-quality resources from upstream and downstream of the industry chain, establishing a monthly online product selection mechanism, regularly publishing overseas project procurement needs, and providing comprehensive support, including policy consultation, legal support, and financial services. This will create a complete closed-loop system of "exhibition traffic generation, alliance operation, and project implementation." International platforms help Chinese hardware go global.
This conference attracted industry representatives from over 30 countries and regions. Representatives from chambers of commerce and purchasing organizations in countries like South Africa, Egypt, and Nigeria expressed strong interest in Chinese hardware brands. One South African buyer stated, "Chinese hardware products have demonstrated significant advantages in quality and innovation. We look forward to establishing long-term cooperation through this efficient platform."
As the main organizer, the China-Africa Bridge, leveraging its "Good Hope Plan" and "Africa-Friendly Customer Plan," has successfully helped over 100 Chinese brands enter the African market and empowered over 5,000 young Africans to start their own businesses. The China-Africa Economic and Trade Research Institute of Zhejiang Gongshang University focused on research on China-Africa economic and trade cooperation, providing market insights and strategic advice, truly implementing a dual-engine "think tank + operations" model.
In addition, the Yuyao Hardware Products Association, along with dozens of its member companies, showcased a wide range of hardware tools, plumbing equipment, and household hardware, attracting the attention of numerous international buyers. As global demand for supply chain stability and brand differentiation continues to grow, Chinese hardware companies are gradually shifting from single-product trading to brand implementation, localized operations, and long-term ecosystem development. Going forward, the industry needs to further integrate platform resources and deepen international cooperation to achieve the transition from a "large hardware nation" to a "strong hardware nation."
